Meet Justin

My Roots

I grew up in rural Illinois, in a town of less than 500 people, enlisting in the Army at age 17. I was humbled when the Ike Skelton Early Commissioning program sent me to Wentworth Military Academy, and I earned the honor of serving my country as an officer in the National Guard in Boone County.

I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at the University of Missouri and earned a Certificate in American Constitutional Democracy from the Kinder Institute, all while serving as the Battalion Signal Officer for the 175th Military Police Battalion, Missouri Army National Guard. After working as a news writer and broadcaster with KMZU, I was proud to serve as Special Projects Coordinator with the Missouri State Auditor’s Office, assisting with government communications and data analytics.

Meet Justin Aldred, community oriented Boone County commissioner.

My Service

Since 2020, I’ve been proud to serve the people of Boone County as your Southern District 1 Commissioner.

Our elected leaders in government, at all levels, should represent the people’s best interests. Full stop. They must uphold the highest standards of ethics and responsibility that people rightfully expect from their leaders.

I pledge to hold myself to a higher standard and to conduct myself in office like a leader should. No shenanigans, no bullying, no deception. Just hard work, every day, for the people who elected me to office.
